Handmade in Palestine by artisanal mother-of-pearl craftsmen. This beautiful iridescent mother of pearl Palestine map pendant, hand etched with the word Palestine in Arabic, comes with a 14Kt Gold Filled or Sterling Silver pendant bail so you can wear on any necklace. Mother of Pearl is a natural material therefore each pendant is unique and may slightly vary in colour, shape and pattern. Handwriting may also vary.

Philistia referred to an area that runs from Gaza all the way to Yafa along the south west coast of ancient Palestine. Its inhabitants, the Philistines are thought to have originated from Crete, Greece. Some of the earliest coins were from the Hellenistic period circa 5th - 4th Century BC.
Following the Greek period, ancient Palestine was conquered by the Roman Empire. This Gaza coin is from the Roman period, minted in Gaza in year 275 AD and features the Greek inscription:

Symbolic of the Nakba ‘catastrophe’, the key of return became significant as when Palestinians were forced to leave their homes in 1948, they held onto their keys with their imminent return in mind.
Handmade in wax and cast in silver, our key design is a recreation of the symbol of Right of Return to the motherland.
