Our jewellery is handmade from precious metals, stones and includes natural materials of delicate nature, therefore they should be worn with care.
Here are some tips for keeping your jewellery sparkling and long lasting...
WEARING YOUR JEWELLERY
Our jewellery is .925 Sterling Silver and 24kt Gold Vermeil Sterling Silver. We recommend removing jewellery before playing sport, swimming or showering as sweat, chlorine, sea water and freshwater can erode gold plating and dull silver.
Always put on your jewellery last when getting ready and take it off first. Do not wear jewellery while sleeping.
Avoid spraying perfumes and applying creams directly on to the jewellery.
CLEANING JEWELLERY
Jewellery gets moist from perspiration and natural skin oils. To clean your jewellery, gently wipe with a micro fibre cloth after each wear to restore shine and lustre.
For a deeper clean, rinse jewellery in lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use harsh soaps/chemicals on your jewellery when cleaning as this can remove plating and dull lustre of pearls and other materials.
STORING JEWELLERY
Store your jewellery individually in your resealable PVC pouch to prevent scratching and tangling between pieces of jewellery. When travelling, use your NURNEI pouch to store your jewellery and keep chains fastened.
Jewellery with gemstones and pearls should be carefully stored so that they don’t knock against each other whilst stored.
Avoid exposing your jewellery to extreme temperatures, humidity and sunlight.
SEMI FINE METALS
Our 24Kt Gold Vermeil jewellery consists of a 2.5 microns layer of gold (Au) on Sterling Silver. We guarantee our plating for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please note natural skin pH, climate and general wear and tear can affect the plating.
Sterling Silver naturally oxidises and can eventually tarnish, especially in high humidity. Wearing your silver jewellery often is the best way to keep silver from tarnishing and storing in dry, cool place when not worn.
